The 2020 World Congress theme ‘Prevention in the Connected Age: Global solutions to achieve safe and healthy work for all” highlights the power of diversity and how different cultures and backgrounds can come together to overcome challenges.

Canada was among the founding members of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 1919 and hosted the ILO administration during the Second World War in Europe.
